Prayer with the heart means to watch over the world in love. One of the most important intentions for which Our Lady invites us to pray is precisely to pray for the gift of God’s love for those who have not yet come to know it. All the evil in the world has only one cause – we have not come to know God’s love or we have drifted away from it.

Prayer of the heart is an encounter of God’s love. Whoever receives its touch begins to change. When we respond to God’s love with love, conversion of heart take place.

The heart that has experienced God’s love wants to grow in love like Our Lady. She is our example. In her messages she tells us, “Dear children! My earthly life was simple. I loved and I rejoiced in small things. I loved life – the gift from God – even though pain and sufferings pierced my heart. My children, I had the strength of faith and boundless trust in God’s love. All those who have the strength of faith are stronger. Faith makes you live according to what is good and then the light of God’s love always comes at the desired moment. That is the strength which sustains in pain and suffering.” ”Therefore, pray in such a way that your prayer, your surrender to God, may become like a road sign.” “May your prayer be even stronger so that every unclean spirit of division and war may be stilled.” “May prayer be a balm to your soul, because the fruit of prayer is joy, giving and witnessing God to others – through your life.” “I am with you for so long because God is great in His love and in my presence.” “This is a time of grace while I am with you, make good use of it. Say: ‘This is the time for my soul’. I am with you and love you with immeasurable love.”

Let us thank God that Our Lady is still with us. With every apparition of Our Lady in Medjugorje, heaven repeats to us: I love you, I love you…. By praying with Our Lady, we come to know God’s love more quickly.
