In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy spirit. Amen.
Come, Holy Spirit, come by means of the powerful intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Your Beloved Spouse! (3x)
Lk 19, 41-44
As Jesus drew near and beheld the city, he wept over it, saying, “If only you had recognized on this day what would bring you peace! But now it is hidden from your sight. Indeed, the days will come upon you when your enemies will raise up fortifications all around you and hem you in on every side. They will smash you to the ground, you and your children with you, and they will not leave one stone upon another in you, because you did not recognize the time of your visitation.”
RECOGNIZE THE TIME OF the VISITation of JESUS’
What do I ask for?
A heart free from bad habits and open to God’s will.
• I sit close to Jesus, who is weeping over Jerusalem. I lean close to him. I listen to his words and his weeping. Jerusalem, which has a beautiful temple, does not recognize his coming (vv. 41–42).
• It is possible to live near the temple, to pray daily in it, to offer sacrifices – and yet not recognize the presence of the coming God. One’s own habits and religious schemes can obscure the image of the living God.
• Jesus warns me that he who does not recognize God coming in everyday life will become like a besieged temple – hemmed in on all sides, doomed to collapse (vv. 43–44). God does not want temples in which man locks him up and isolates him from everyday life.
• The faith of a person who does not live with God every day and does not allow Him to come to him as He wants is like a temple that collapses. Religion according to one’s own ideas and not God’s will will collapse and turn into rubble.
• “To recognize the time of his visitation” – these are Jesus’ key words (v. 44). For this to happen, I must learn to discern his will in the Word and recognize it in the signs of the times.
• What can I say about my spiritual sensitivity to Jesus’ coming? Do I recognize the time of his visitation? Which visitations in my life have been particularly important? Did I recognize them at the right time? Did I respond to them?
• I will entrust my entire future to him now, in which he will visit me and reveal his will to me. I will ask him: “Give me a heart capable of recognizing you at all times.”
In the school of Our Lady:
Mary teaches us to recognize the signs of the times and God’s visitations in love. When we love, we can discern.
January 25, 1993
Dear children! Today I call you to accept and live my messages with seriousness. These days are the days when you need to decide for God, for peace and for the good. May every hatred and jealousy disappear from your life and your thoughts, and may there only dwell love for God and for your neighbor. Thus, and only thus shall you be able to discern the signs of the time. I am with you and I guide you into a new time, a time which God gives you as grace so that you may get to know him more. Thank you for having responded to my call.
Mary, Mother of my Lord,
I sit today with your Son, who weeps over the city,
over hearts that have not known their time of visitation.
I want to be with you in silence,
listening to his cry and allowing it to touch my heart too.
The prayer of consecration to Jesus through Mary
Holy Virgin Mary, today before You and in Your hands I renew and confirm the vows of Holy Baptism.
I renounce satan forever, his works; and I consecrate myself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus Christ. I want to carry my cross after Him all the days of my life according to the will of the Heavenly Father.
O Mary, in the presence of all the heavenly court and the whole Church I consecrate myself to Your Immaculate Heart. Be my Mother and Queen. In complete submission and love I give You and consecrate to You my body and soul, my goods, both interior and exterior, the value of all my good actions, past, present and future leaving to thee the entire and full right of disposing of me, and all that belongs to me according to thy good pleasure, for the greater gloryof God in time and in eternity. Amen.
