In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy spirit. Amen.
Come, Holy Spirit, come by means of the powerful intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Your Beloved Spouse! (3x)
Lk 20, 27-40
Then some Sadducees, who assert that there is no resurrection, approached him and posed this question: “Teacher, Moses wrote down for us that if a man’s brother dies, having a wife but no children, the man must marry his brother’s wife and raise up children for his brother. Now there were seven brothers. The first married a woman but died childless. Then the second and the third married the widow, and it was the same with all seven: they all died leaving no children. Last of all, the woman also died. Now at the resurrection, whose wife will the woman be, inasmuch as all seven had her?” Jesus said to them, “The children of this age marry and are given in marriage, but those who are judged worthy of taking part in the age to come and in the resurrection of the dead will neither marry nor be given in marriage. They are no longer subject to death, for they are like angels; and they are the children of God because they are children of the resurrection. “That the dead are raised Moses himself showed in the account about the bush where he calls the Lord the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. He is not the God of the dead, but of the living, for in his sight all are alive.” Some of the scribes then said, “Teacher, you have answered well.” And they no longer dared to ask him anything.
LIve FOR GOD AND DESIRE FOR ETERNITY
What do I ask for?
For faith and deep joy from being called to live with God forever.
• I listen to the Sadducees’ conversation with Jesus. They do not believe in the resurrection. They do not seek the truth in their encounter with him. They want to “convert” Jesus, to prove him wrong (vv. 27–33).
• Does the “Sadducean spirit” that doubts eternal life also live in me? Am I not confusing an attitude of faith and trust with an attitude of constant debate with God? Can I trust him when I hear revealed Words that I do not understand?
• The joy of eternal life cannot be explained on the basis of earthly experiences. I should rely on Jesus’ promise, which tells me that eternal happiness incomparably surpasses earthly happiness (vv. 34–36). Do I believe him?
• The essence of my happiness is that I am a child of God (v. 36). The more deeply I experience who I am for God, the more deeply I experience happiness. In eternity I will experience its fullness.
• I will try to confess slowly, with deep awareness and heart experience, before God: “I am your child!”, and then before myself: “I am his child!” How does this confession evoke feelings in me? Is it close to me or foreign?
• My eternal life began at the moment of conception. God is the God of the living, not the dead (vv. 37-40). It depends on me whether I will be alive for him or dead. I will ask him to protect me from everything that leads to spiritual death.
• In heartfelt prayer I will turn to Jesus with the request that he constantly awaken in me the desire for eternal life with God. Today I will remain in the prayer of my heart: “God, only you are the fulfillment of my greatest desires.”
In the school of Our Lady:
The Virgin Mary comes from eternity, she appears in Medjugorje and she repeats to us that eternal life exists.

My children; Again, in a motherly way, I implore you to stop for a moment and to reflect on yourselves and on the transience of this your earthly life. Then reflect on eternity and the eternal beatitude. What do you want? Which way do you want to set out on? The Father`s love sends me to be a mediatrix for you, to show you with motherly love the way which leads to the purity of soul; a soul unburdened by sin; a soul that will come to know eternity. I am praying that the light of the love of my Son may illuminate you, so that you may triumph over weaknesses and come out of misery. You are my children and I desire for all of you to be on the way of salvation. Therefore, my children, gather around me that I may have you come to know the love of my Son and thus open the door of eternal beatitude. Pray as I do for your shepherds. Again I caution you: do not judge them, because my Son chose them. Thank you.
Mary, Mother, help me to say with my heart today: “I am a child of God, I belong to heaven and not to earth.” Help me to believe that I am loved, wanted, and called for eternity. Amen.
The prayer of consecration to Jesus through Mary
Holy Virgin Mary, today before You and in Your hands I renew and confirm the vows of Holy Baptism.
I renounce satan forever, his works; and I consecrate myself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus Christ. I want to carry my cross after Him all the days of my life according to the will of the Heavenly Father.
O Mary, in the presence of all the heavenly court and the whole Church I consecrate myself to Your Immaculate Heart. Be my Mother and Queen. In complete submission and love I give You and consecrate to You my body and soul, my goods, both interior and exterior, the value of all my good actions, past, present and future leaving to thee the entire and full right of disposing of me, and all that belongs to me according to thy good pleasure, for the greater gloryof God in time and in eternity. Amen.
