In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy spirit. Amen.
Come, Holy Spirit, come by means of the powerful intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Your Beloved Spouse! (3x)
Mt 9, 27-31
As Jesus proceeded from there, two blind men followed him, crying out loudly, “Son of David, have pity on us.” When he had gone indoors, the blind men approached him. Jesus said to them, “Do you believe that I can do this?” They replied, “Yes, Lord, we do.” Then Jesus touched their eyes, saying, “Let it be done for you according to your faith.” And their sight was restored. Then Jesus sternly warned them, “See to it that no one learns about this.” But as soon as they had departed, they spread the news about him throughout that entire district.
TO recognize THE DAILY TOUCH OF JESUS with faith
What do I ask for?
For a patient and steadfast heart in faith, capable of perceiving the touches of Jesus
• I approach the blind who are calling out to the passing Jesus. I look at them attentively. I listen to their loud, persistent cry: “Have mercy on us…” (v. 27).
• I reflect on myself. I listen to my inner self. What is my greatest heart disease? Which desires suffer and cry out the most in me? I join the blind and try to cry them out before Jesus.
• I notice the perseverance and determination of the blind. I see how they press towards Jesus with their misery. They believe that he can heal them (v. 28).
• What is the heaviness of the heart that I have not been able to deal with for a long time? How long have I been carrying it within me? How often do I talk to Jesus about it? Which is more dominant in me: faith or doubt?
• I will look at Jesus’ gesture when he touches the eyes of the blind and says: “As you have believed, let it be done to you” (v. 29). I will stay with this image for a longer time. I will be filled with the power of Jesus and I will admire the faith of the blind.
• I will implore Jesus to touch in me all the places where my faith is weak, where I am tempted to doubt or rebel against him.
• “And their eyes were opened” (v. 30). I will draw close to Jesus. I will look into his face and fervently ask him to open my eyes to his daily expressions of kindness. I will keep in my heart the prayer: “Open the eyes of my heart that I may feel your touches.”
In the school of Our Lady:
Mary helps us to come to Jesus, not to be afraid to come to him. She knows that Jesus heals by his coming from birth.
December 25, 2018
“Dear children, on this day of grace, I am calling you to love. Little children, God loves you immeasurably and that is why, little children, full of trust and without looking back and without fear, completely surrender your hearts to Him so that God may fill them with His love. Do not be afraid to believe in His love and mercy, because His love is stronger than every one of your weaknesses and fears. Therefore, my children, full of love in your hearts, trust in Jesus and say your ‘yes’ to Him, because He is the only way which leads you to the Eternal Father.”
Mother, help me to open my eyes to recognize the gentle, daily touches of Jesus. Teach me to notice his closeness where I most often overlook it. Help me to surrender to Jesus the weaknesses, the difficulties that I do not like. With you we pray: “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on us!”
The prayer of consecration to Jesus through Mary
Holy Virgin Mary, today before You and in Your hands I renew and confirm the vows of Holy Baptism.
I renounce satan forever, his works; and I consecrate myself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus Christ. I want to carry my cross after Him all the days of my life according to the will of the Heavenly Father.
O Mary, in the presence of all the heavenly court and the whole Church I consecrate myself to Your Immaculate Heart. Be my Mother and Queen. In complete submission and love I give You and consecrate to You my body and soul, my goods, both interior and exterior, the value of all my good actions, past, present and future leaving to thee the entire and full right of disposing of me, and all that belongs to me according to thy good pleasure, for the greater gloryof God in time and in eternity. Amen.
