September 2, 2010 “Dear children; I am beside you because I desire to help you to overcome trials, which this time of purification puts before you. My children, one of those is not to forgive, and not to ask for forgiveness. Every sin offends love and distances you from it and love is my Son. Therefore, my children, if you desire to walk with me towards the peace of God’s love, you must learn to forgive and to ask for forgiveness. Thank you.”

Resolution:

Let us pray for the gift of God’s love for those who have hurt us—for the grace to forgive and to accept them.

Mary teaches us to love not with human love, but with God’s love. She tirelessly calls us to pray for this divine love for those who have harmed us—until peace takes root in our hearts. She reminds us not to dwell on the wound or the evil done, but to entrust it to God, focusing instead on prayer for the grace to love the person involved with His love.

Mary, help us to recognize those in our hearts whom we need to forgive. Help us to offer that forgiveness. This, too, is grace—this is already stepping into the light of love. Help us to remain steadfast in prayer for the gift of God’s love until our wounds are healed. You teach us that love is the true medicine.

Holy Spirit, Spirit of Love, come into our hearts. Help us to love with Your love those who have wounded us. We ask for the grace of forgiveness and for peace in our relationships.

Come, Holy Spirit, come by means of the powerful intercession of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, your well-beloved spouse! (3x)

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning, is now,
and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
