Our Lady of Medjugorje’s January 25, 2026 Monthly Message:
“Dear children, today, I am calling you to be prayer and a blessing for all those who have not come to know God’s
love. Little children, be different from others and be positive people of prayer and love towards God, that with your
lives, you may be a sign of God’s love to others. I bless you with My Motherly blessing and intercede for each of you
before My Son Jesus. Thank you for having responded to My call”.
1. “Today, I am calling you to be prayer and a blessing for all those who have not come to know God’s love”.
It is good to remember some fundamental thoughts from Medjugorje: Our Lady is a Mother, and we are Her
“dear children”. Our Lady desires peace in the world but together with us and with our help. When we live what
She calls us to then we become Her collaborators in peace.
How can we be the collaborators of Our Lady?
First, this happens when we pray for those who have not come to know God’s love and bless them. Likewise, it
happens when we offer a helping hand to such persons.
Heart and hands are the foundation in the school of Our Lady. The heart always moves hands. Everything must
begin with prayer. Nothing should be done without prayer. First the heart opens hands through prayer then after
prayer it opens them for people.
We can always act in two ways: we can stop, look at such people and their life stories, and judge them. Or we
can ask ourselves a question: what is my heart like? Is there love within my heart and what kind of love is it?
2. “Little children, be different from others and be positive people of prayer and love towards God, that with your
lives, you may be a sign of God’s love to others”.
Who are those “who have not come to know God’s love”. Perhaps they are those who do not believe in God (for
example, agnostics, atheists…), those who commit evil and spread conflicts and wars…
How do we treat such people? Perhaps we speak harshly of them or even condemn them.
Let us discern: it goes without saying that we can not agree with such persons. We do not hold the same view or
outlooks on life as they do. Yet Our Lady’s desire for us is to be “different”. We differ from others not by
rejecting them but by wishing them well and praying for them.
Perhaps we might think that by acting this way we reveal a weakness. No! It is a true power! That is a victory
over evil which wants us to be caught in its wheel and hitch us to its chariot. Evil always seeks to make us sow
strife, to hate, to stir up conflicts among people, to make new enemies and to close our hearts and hands to them.
If we accept this then we become collaborators with evil and distributors of restlessness.
Our Lady wants us to be “different” and differ from others. We are different if we open our hearts and hands to
others, if we do not condemn them and do not speak badly of them but instead pray for them and bless them.
Who knows maybe the Holy Spirit will inspire us to draw closer to them and help them come to know God’s
love.
3. “I bless you with My Motherly blessing and intercede for each of you before My Son Jesus”.
It is as if Mary is saying to us with these words: “What I call you to do I do for you. I call you to pray for those
who have not come to know God’s love and bless them. This is exactly what I do for you: I bless you and
intercede for you before Jesus”.
Now return to Mary and receive Her Motherly blessing. Give Her thanks for Her blessing and for Her
intercession for us before Jesus. Let us thank Her for Her amazing love which is so close to Jesus’s love.
What is Jesus’s love like?
Peter felt this love when he realized that he was a sinner before Jesus. When Simon Peter saw this, he fell at
Jesus’ knees and said: “Go away from me, Lord; I am a sinful man!”.
Now it is important to see how Jesus looked at Peter and reacted at the moment when Peter comprehended that
he was a sinner: “Then Jesus said to Simon: “Don’t be afraid; from now on you will fish for people!” (Lk
5:8-10).
It is as though Jesus says to Peter: “Peter, do not be afraid that I will reject you because you are a sinner! No
way! I will not reject you but even give you, a weak and sinful person, a special role and task: you will fish for
people! You will feed my sheep! You will strengthen my brothers! I will give you a key! You will be a leader for
others!”
How lucky Peter was! His life is not a failure. Though he is a sinner Jesus counts on him. Now his life has a
meaning, a purpose and a motivation to give himself for others.
Mary’s love looks like Jesus’s love because She doesn’t reject us who are weak and sinful. Furthermore, She
gives us, who are weak, a special role and mission: She wants us to be Her collaborators in spreading God’s
peace throughout the world. Is there a greater vocation than this one? Is there any task more adorable and
important than this one? As in the case of Peter our lives have meaning, we have the reasons and motivation to
give ourselves for others.
Do not delay but let’s begin right now: having received Our Lady’s blessing let’s return in spirit to those who
have not come to know God’s love, let’s begin to pray for them and to bless them. Pass on to others what we have
received
