In the June message, Our Lady warned us that the family is under attack and peace is in danger. With a mother’s heart, She called and calls us to pray, so that the Lord will overcome all evil with His grace.
In this message, the gaze of the Mother of God rests on those who make efforts and try to follow Her messages, striving to put them into practice. In the words of the Mother of God, we hear satisfaction and happiness, as well as a call to spiritual struggle for peace within and around us.
The purpose of the calls and messages of the Mother of God is to lead us to Jesus. She is all turned to Jesus, filled with Him, therefore She knows Him better than anyone. She knows that there is no one else in whom we can find salvation. Saint Peter affirms before the high priests, elders and scribes: “And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved” (Acts 4:12).
“I lead you to Him, who is the way, the truth and the life,” the Virgin Mary tells us. Jesus Himself says about Himself: “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me” (John 14:6). When Jesus uttered these words, the apostle Thomas interrupted Him with a sincere question: “Lord, we do not know where You are going. And how do we know that way?” (John 14:5). Thomas is looking for clarity, a route, and a precise description of His way. Holy people are not afraid to be tactless and ask questions even if they seem inappropriate. Maria did not just nod at the Angel’s greeting, but was not afraid to clarify: “How will it happen when I do not know my husband?”
Clear questions require clear answers. With his question, Thomas provoked Jesus to utter a strong and deep truth that echoes in eternity: “I am dear, and the truth, and the life.”
Jesus did not say, “I am one of the ways, one of the truths, and one of the ways of living.” No, because He is the ONLY one. He is not one of a series of great spiritual leaders who proclaim the mystery of God, but He is God Himself. He Himself is the way, the truth and the life – the One whom other religions seek and partially proclaim.
Let us take seriously the words of the Mother of God, so that we can meet Jesus, whose word saves, frees, heals and even now leads to the fullness of eternal life.
Prayer: Virgin Mary, You are full of grace and full of Jesus. You rejoice in every heart that opens to You and takes Your words and appeals seriously. We thank You for Your maternal patience. We thank the Lord together with You for all who grow in faith and hope through prayer. Pray with us and for us, so that we persistently walk the path of prayer – the only path by which God’s peace can come to our hearts and through us to our families and the whole world.
