Be Love (Tereza Gazhiiova)

Queen of Peace teaches us with parables about nature like Jesus did. Spring is coming and that is a new life and hope. Nature listens to its Creator, it is a silent witness of His love. In obedience spring comes after winter, the seeds sprout up, grow up and then bear fruits at the appropriate time. Everything is due to perfect order. “The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands” (Psalm 19:2).

In the midst of nature we may encounter the Creator. Mary says to us: “Go into nature and look how nature is awakening and it will be a help to you to open your hearts to the love of God, the Creator” (25.04.1993). “Rejoice with Me in this time of spring when all nature is awakening and your hearts long for change” (25.04.2002).

We awaken like nature when in prayer we bask trustfully  in God’s sun, when we purify our hearts with  penance and fasting and  when we accept in silence the God’s word every day. Jacob the disciple writes: “Therefore, get rid of all moral filth and the evil that is so prevalent and humbly accept the word planted in you, which can save you” (Jacob 1:21).

Nature may encourage us to obey God’s love. God laid within us His laws. If we obey them then we will be in perfect harmony like nature is. The unrest, chaos and wars take place when we are estranged from God.

Mary calls us to pray and love God above all in our lives. Her words have something in common with Jesus Christ’s answer to pharisees’ question about the greatest commandment. Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength” (Mk. 12:29-30). And another one:“Love your neighbor as yourself” (Mt. 22:39).

Conversion is a way towards holiness. One holy person encourages us to make a decision to live better than we did yesterday. Mary charges us with a mission of being Her extended hands of love and peace for those who don’t want peace and don’t love.

These days there is a group of mothers whose sons died in the war in Ukraine. When we were praying together, one of them prayed with such words: “Lord Jesus, don’t allow our hearts to become hard by revenge and hatred. Touch those who don’t love You because they didn’t get to know You”.

Prayer

Mary, Our Mother! Thank you that in Your presence we can learn what it means to love God above all and love our neighbor as ourselves. You teach us to transform our lives into love for God and neighbor. We love You, Our Teacher, and entrust ourselves to Your guidance. Help us every moment to choose love under any circumstances like You did. Together with You we ask Jesus for the gift of perseverance in love. We desire to be your extended hands of peace and love for all those who need it. Amen.
