The Virgin Mary says in last month’s message: “… I am with you, so that peace may reign in you and around you, because God sent me to you with this intention.”Heaven’s call to peace comes from Medjugorje through the Virgin Mary. Peace is at risk, as is man. In this threat to the world, family and man, the Mother does not remain silent, but calls everyone who wants to hear, accept and implement Her calls.There is a constant struggle between the spirits of good and evil. This struggle takes place in the hearts of people. War begins in the heart of man, just as peace can begin in the heart of man. Only those who manage to maintain hope and prayer can defeat evil and witness God’s miracles that He wants to create both in the world and in people’s lives. The Virgin Mary is a witness that nothing is impossible for God. She believed and hoped when everyone else lost faith and hope.Therefore, She is blessed, because she never lost hope, which was a light for Her even in the darkest moments of Calvary, even when she looked at Her Son, humiliated and crucified.Therefore, as a Mother, She invites us to a spiritual struggle in which we can win only through prayer, which will keep our hope in God.The French poet and essayist Charles Péguy, putting words in the mouth of God, says: “Hope, says God, hope strikes me!” Living with time and feeling comfortable in it includes a dimension of hope. The only great temptation among the saints was the temptation against hope. Peggy continues, “I’m not surprised, God says, that they believe in me. It is enough to observe my creatures, and they will believe! Love does not surprise me either, because it is profitable for them, if they love each other, they benefit themselves. But hope, hope amazes me!”What do we need to learn hope? This is the only means that Jesus Himself used when He was tempted against hope. The One who loved us with a human heart had human feelings, an anxious fear in Gethsemane: he watched and prayed all night. Jesus prayed to submit to the Father’s will.May the Mother of Jesus and our Mother lead us along the paths of hope, on which we can meet God, with whom all things are possible.

Prayer

Virgin Mary, Mother of hope and faith, You believed in God even when you were experiencing severe trials of faith. Your faith and hope, O Mary, are an example for us and an encouragement to keep hope through prayer, which will be a light when we are surrounded by darkness from which we see no way out.Intercede for us, Virgin Mary, especially for those who are going through difficult moments of life. Into Your hands, O Mary, we entrust all those who are in despair, in anxiety, who have lost hope. With your powerful intercession, ask your Son for the light and strength that God gives for them, so that God can be glorified even through the sufferings and crosses through which all those who are affected by them pass. Amen.
