11th day – 15th November

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy spirit. Amen.

Come, Holy Spirit, come by means of the powerful intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Your Beloved Spouse! (3x)

Luke 18:1-8

Then Jesus told them a parable about the need for them to pray always and never to lose heart. He said, “In a certain town there was a judge who neither feared God nor had any respect for people. In that same town there was a widow who kept coming to him and pleading, ‘Grant me justice against my adversary.’ “For a long time he refused her request, but finally he said to himself, ‘Even though I neither fear God nor have any respect for people, yet because this widow keeps pestering me, I will see to it that she gets justice. Otherwise, she will keep coming and wear me out.’ ” Then the Lord said, “You have heard what the unjust judge says. Will not God, therefore, grant justice to his elect who cry out to him day and night? Will he delay in answering their pleas? I tell you, he will grant them justice quickly. But when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?”

PRAY WITH FAITH AND not to lose heart

What do I ask for?

For strong faith in God, who cares for me, and for the gift of persistent prayer.

• I sit close to Jesus to listen to his parable. He tells it for me. He wants to ignite in me the spirit of prayer. I imagine his gaze fixed on me and I hear the encouraging words: “We must always pray and not lose heart” (v. 1).

• With my eyes fixed on Jesus, I listen attentively to the parable (vv. 2-5). I pause at his words: “Listen…” (v. 6). A parable from life, built on contrast, helps me understand how fruitful “unceasing” prayer is.

• “And will not God protect his chosen ones?” (v. 7). With this statement, Jesus touches all my doubts, my unbelief. I will honestly confess my disappointments and doubts. I will give it to him.

• “He will be indifferent to them…” (v. 7). I will recall situations when I have been seized by the fear that God will delay, that He will not come with His grace. Jesus assures me that God is not late. He is always in advance.

• Jesus gives me another assurance: God intervenes quickly (v. 8). However, my prayer full of faith is important: “day and night”. I will ask for persistent and decisive faith in His effective action in my life.

• I listen to Jesus’ question with which He ends His catechesis. I notice His worried face. His words teach me humility. Faith is a very fragile gift. I can never be sure of myself. Without prayer, I cannot preserve it within myself.

• I will hold Jesus’ hand tightly and repeat with emotion: “Keep me, Jesus, always with you!”

In the school of Our Lady:

Mary encourages us like Jesus, she also sees that our faith is small and weak. She does not condemn us, she remains in prayer with us, she teaches us to pray with faith.

August 25, 2002

Dear children! Also today I am with you in prayer so that God gives you an even stronger faith. Little children, your faith is small and you are not even aware how much, despite this, you are not ready to seek the gift of faith from God. That is why I am with you, little children, to help you comprehend my messages and put them into life. Pray, pray, pray and only in faith and through prayer your soul will find peace and the world will find joy to be with God. Thank you for having responded to my call.

Mary, please be with us in the moments when we are learning to believe. When we are overcome by temptations and fear. Tell our hearts as you like to repeat: Do not be afraid, only believe. With you we ask for the gift of strong faith and persistent prayer. Amen.

The prayer of consecration to Jesus through Mary

Holy Virgin Mary, today before You and in Your hands I renew and confirm the vows of Holy Baptism.

I renounce satan forever, his works; and I consecrate myself  to the Sacred Heart of Jesus Christ. I want to carry my cross after Him all the days of my life according to the will of the Heavenly Father.

O Mary, in the presence of all the heavenly court and the whole Church I consecrate myself to Your Immaculate Heart. Be my Mother and Queen. In complete submission and love I give You and consecrate to You my body and soul, my goods, both interior and exterior, the value of all my good actions, past, present and future leaving to thee the entire and full right of disposing of me, and all that belongs to me according to thy good pleasure, for the greater gloryof God in time and in eternity. Amen.
