20th day – 24th November

20th day

24th November

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy spirit. Amen.

Come, Holy Spirit, come by means of the powerful intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Your Beloved Spouse! (3x)

Lk 21, 1-4

Looking up, Jesus saw wealthy people putting their offerings into the treasury, and he also noticed a poor widow putting in two copper coins. He said: “Truly I tell you, this poor widow has given more than all the rest. For the others have all contributed out of their abundance, but she out of her poverty has given all that she had to live on.”

TRUST IN GOD’S PROVIDENCE

What do I ask for?

For a profound experience of God’s care in my shortcomings.

  • I willenterthe temple with Jesus. I will stand with him in the crowd of people who are standing in line at the temple treasury to bring their offering.
  • “When he lookedaround,…” (v. 1). I willnotice the penetrating gaze of Jesus, who sees even the simplest person and the most hidden manifestation of goodness. The poor widow, lost in the crowd of the rich, escaped the attention of many – but not Jesus (v. 2).
  • EverydayJesus “looks around” and sees me from afar. He sees my actions, he knows my thoughts. Nothing is hidden from him. I will stand before Jesus in simplicity and sincerity of heart and ask him to show me every good that has been born in my life.
  • I willlisten to Jesus, whopraises the generosity of the poor widow in front of the crowd (vv. 3-4). If I were standing before Jesus today with my life, what would he consider my greatest treasure? What would he praise me for the most? I will ask him.
  • Jesusshowsme the attitude of the poor woman. She left all her possessions, everything she had, in the temple (v. 4). She surrenders her livelihood, trusting that God will take care of her.
  • I willaskmyself about my trust in God. Could I, like the widow, entrust my entire life into his hands today? Is there anything I am still afraid to surrender to him? What is the hardest thing for me to let go of? I will tell Jesus. I will ask him for inner freedom and the gift of deep trust in his goodness.
  • In a heartfeltconversation and act of surrender, I entrust to Jesusthe entire “subsistence” of my life, so that He Himself may become my only and most important provision. I entrust to Him my worries and fears for the future. I place them in His hands.

In the school of Our Lady:

Mary always gave everything completely to God. She kept nothing for herself. She received everything as a gift from him and gave everything back to him. She was free, joyful, because she trusted in God in everything.

April 25, 1989

Dear children! I am calling you to a complete surrender to God. Let everything that you possess be in the hands of God. Only in that way shall you have joy in your heart. Little children, rejoice in everything that you have. Give thanks to God because everything is God’s gift to you. That way in your life you shall be able to give thanks for everything and discover God in everything even in the smallest flower. Thank you for having responded to my call.

Mary, Mother of Trust, you knew the power of total surrender. The poor widow placed her livelihood in God’s hands – and you placed your whole life in His hands.

Help me to trust as you do.

The prayer of consecration to Jesus through Mary

Holy Virgin Mary, today before You and in Your hands I renew and confirm the vows of Holy Baptism.

I renounce satan forever, his works; and I consecrate myself  to the Sacred Heart of Jesus Christ. I want to carry my cross after Him all the days of my

life according to the will of the Heavenly Father.

O Mary, in the presence of all the heavenly court and the whole Church I consecrate myself to Your Immaculate Heart. Be my Mother and Queen. In complete

submission and love I give You and consecrate to You my body and soul, my goods, both interior and exterior, the value of all my good actions, past, present

and future leaving to thee the entire and full right of disposing of me, and all that belongs to me according to thy good pleasure, for the greater gloryof God in time and in eternity. Amen.
