24th day 28th November

24th day

28th November

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy spirit. Amen.

Come, Holy Spirit, come by means of the powerful intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Your Beloved Spouse! (3x)

Lk 21, 29-33

Then he told them this parable: “Look at the fig tree or indeed at any other tree. As soon as it begins to bud, you know that summer is already near. In the same way, when you see these things come to pass, know that the kingdom of God is near. Amen, I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things have taken place. Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.

To oPEn UP TO THE LIFE THAT GOD PROMISES TO ME

What do I ask for?

For love to life and perseverance in hope in God’s promises.

  • At the end of theliturgicalyear, as Advent approaches, Jesus tells me a parable (v. 29). He teaches me to perceive the signs of the nearness of his kingdom. In warm  prayer, I will ask him to lead me into the season of Advent.
  • I willdelight in the image of springthat Jesus paints. The sight of a fig tree that puts forth buds awakens in me a desire for life, a harbinger of summer! (vv. 30-31). Jesus teaches me an expectation that should be as fresh as spring and as joyful as the promise of summer.
  • Whatsigns of lifehave I noticed for myself during the past liturgical year? How have I come closer or further away from Jesus? I will ask myself about my desires on the threshold of the coming Advent. I entrust it to God through Mary, the patroness of Advent.
  • “Untilallthis is accomplished.” (v. 32). Jesus’ promises will always be fulfilled. Do I believe this? I must learn to wait, so as not to rush and hasten the working of grace. What can I say about my patience? What grace would I like to ask for during Advent?
  • “Heaven and earthwillpass away…” (v. 33). Jesus reminds me of the transience of my life. I live in the midst of fragility. He teaches me to distance myself from all creation. Am I inwardly at peace with the transience and fragility of life?
  • OnlyJesus’ words are eternal! (v. 33). I willrealize that I can hold on to his word in every, even the most uncertain, situation in life. It is unchanging, faithful, always powerful. I will praise the Most Holy Trinity for the gift of the Word of God.
  • I willenterinto a prayer of gratitude. I will thank God for the liturgical year that is ending. What do I consider to be the greatest gift of the past year? I will try to remain in an attitude of gratitude, repeating with all my heart: “God, I thank You!”

In the school of Our Lady:

Mary is the patron of Advent. She was the first to believe in God, even though she had not yet seen anything, and she was the first to open her heart to his promises. She teaches us that God’s gifts come quietly, without noise – just as Jesus came into her womb.

December 25, 2023

Dear children! I am carrying my Son Jesus to you to fill your hearts with peace, because He is peace. Little children, seek Jesus in the silence of your heart that He be born anew. The world needs Jesus, therefore seek Him through prayer, because He gives Himself daily to each of you.

Mary, Mother of silent expectation, help me to await a new life in prayer. Obtain for me patience, the grace not to rush but to be able to accept everything in God’s time. Together  with you I thank God for all the gifts of the past year. Amen.

The prayer of consecration to Jesus through Mary

Holy Virgin Mary, today before You and in Your hands I renew and confirm the vows of Holy Baptism.

I renounce satan forever, his works; and I consecrate myself  to the Sacred Heart of Jesus Christ. I want to carry my cross after Him all the days of my

life according to the will of the Heavenly Father.

O Mary, in the presence of all the heavenly court and the whole Church I consecrate myself to Your Immaculate Heart. Be my Mother and Queen. In complete

submission and love I give You and consecrate to You my body and soul, my goods, both interior and exterior, the value of all my good actions, past, present

and future leaving to thee the entire and full right of disposing of me, and all that belongs to me according to thy good pleasure, for the greater gloryof God in time and in eternity. Amen.
