25th day
29th November
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy spirit. Amen.
Come, Holy Spirit, come by means of the powerful intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Your Beloved Spouse! (3x)
Lk 21, 34-36
Be on your guard lest your hearts be weighed down by carousing and drunkenness and the anxieties of this life and that day will catch you unawares, like a trap. For that day will come upon everyone in the world. Be vigilant at all times, praying for the strength to survive all those things that will take place and to stand in the presence of the Son of Man.
To be vigilant AND TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF
What do I ask for?
For the gift of vigilance and prayer during the entire new liturgical year.
- Thedaybefore the beginning of the new liturgical year, I hear Jesus’ word that can accompany me throughout the year: “Watch out…” (v. 34). In this word lies a tender love and care for people. I ask Jesus what this word means specifically for me.
- Jesuspointsout to me behaviors that can deprive me of the taste for life and distract me from what is most important: drunkenness, gluttony, worldly worries (v. 34).
- Thesethreebehaviors have a common root of sin and self-destruction: they are addiction, a lack of the inner freedom necessary for mature decisions. Before Jesus, I ask myself about my inner slavery that prevents me from living fully.
- Thegoal of lifeis eternal union with Jesus. My expectations also depend on what my life’s purpose is. Tell me what your greatest expectations are – and I will tell you what your life’s purpose is.
- Jesusassuresme that one day the truth will be fully revealed, that he is the only purpose of life. That day will come as a snare (v. 35). In a single moment, the whole truth about my life will also be revealed: for whom or for what I have really lived.
- To maintain a constantfocus on the most importantpurpose of life, I need vigilance and prayer. It helps me to constantly discern my true life attitudes and to purify myself of behaviors in which I lose Jesus.
- Oneday I willstand before the Son of Man – that is certain for me today (v. 36). Jesus wants me to stand before him joyful, not surprised. I entrust the new liturgical year to him and I will repeat: “Teach me to be vigilant, to pray, and to wait for you every day.”
In the school of Our Lady:
Mary teaches us to be vigilant; Not out of anxiety and fear but in trust and desire for God. She invites us to fast regularly, to renounce what we have become attached to.
August 25, 2016
“Dear children! Today I desire to share Heavenly joy with you. You, little children, open the door of your heart so that hope, peace and love, which only God gives, may grow in your heart. Little children, you are too bound to the earth and earthly things, that is why, satan is rolling you like the wind rolls the waves of the sea. Therefore, may the chain of your life be prayer with the heart and Adoration of my Son Jesus. Give over your future to Him so that, in Him, you may be joy and an example with your lives to others. Thank you for having responded to my call.”
Mary, help me to see my slavery that distances me from Jesus. Help me to put Jesus on the first place.
The prayer of consecration to Jesus through Mary
Holy Virgin Mary, today before You and in Your hands I renew and confirm the vows of Holy Baptism.
I renounce satan forever, his works; and I consecrate myself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus Christ. I want to carry my cross after Him all the days of my
life according to the will of the Heavenly Father.
O Mary, in the presence of all the heavenly court and the whole Church I consecrate myself to Your Immaculate Heart. Be my Mother and Queen. In complete
submission and love I give You and consecrate to You my body and soul, my goods, both interior and exterior, the value of all my good actions, past, present
and future leaving to thee the entire and full right of disposing of me, and all that belongs to me according to thy good pleasure, for the greater gloryof God in time and in eternity. Amen.
