2nd day – 6th November

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy spirit. Amen.

Come Holy Spirit, Come by the powerful intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary Your beloved Spouse! (3x)

Lk 15, 1-10

15 Now the tax collectors and sinners were all gathering around to hear Jesus. But the Pharisees and the teachers of the law muttered, “This man welcomes sinners and eats with them. Then Jesus told them this parable: „Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Doesn’t he leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it? And when he finds it, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders and goes home. Then he calls his friends

and neighbors together and says, ‘Rejoice with me; I have found my lost sheep.’ I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent. “Or suppose a woman has ten silver coins and loses one. Doesn’t she light a lamp, sweep the house and search carefully until she finds it? And when she finds it, she calls her friends and neighbors

together and says, ‘Rejoice with me; I have found my lost coin.’ In the same way, I tell you, there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.”

ALLOWING TO BE FOUND

What am I asking for?

A deep awareness of the truth that Jesus is seeking me in my lostness.

• From the very first words of today’s Gospel, I am invited to draw close to Jesus and listen to him – especially when I am troubled by fears like a tax collector or a sinner (1).

• Do I long for Jesus’ closeness? Do I not run away from it? What feelings arise in me when I think of a deeper relationship with Jesus? Do I not blame myself for my weakness?

• Jesus knows everything that is happening in my heart. I imagine him coming to me, tenderly taking my hand and telling me the parable of the sheep (4 – 7). I am the sheep that he seeks and joyfully takes on his shoulders. Do I believe that this is really so?

• I stop at the image of the joyful Jesus (6 – 7). I will realize that I am his joy, that he rejoices every time he finds me again. Do I believe that God rejoices in me? I will share my feelings with him and give myself to him.

• Jesus heals my heart with another parable (8-9). I will focus on the image of the woman who is anxiously searching for her lost coin. In this image, I will see Jesus who seeks me out whenever I am lost—and who is always deeply concerned.

• Jesus is constantly seeking me. When I begin to get lost, he becomes anxious and searches for me until he finds me. I will contemplate Jesus’ gaze, which looks at me with care. What does Jesus tell me about my current state of life? I will ask him honestly.

• My conversion is a reason for joy for heaven (7, 10). I will raise my gaze to heaven and ask for the grace of true conversion: “Jesus, who seeks me, do not let me hide from you.”

In the School of our Lady:

Jesus seeks us through Mary in the most tender way. In her loving presence we find what we have lost.

March 02, 2009 – Message from our Lady of Medjugorje

Dear Children, I am here among you. I am looking into your wounded and restless hearts. You have become lost, my children. Your wounds from sin are becoming

greater and are distancing you all the more from the real truth. You are seeking hope and consolation in the wrong places, while I am offering to you sincere

devotion which is nurtured by love, sacrifice and truth. I am giving you my son. (March 02, 2009)

Mary, our Mother, thank you for always seeking us and looking after our every step. Please help us to be found whenever we stray, whenever we stray from you and from Jesus. Bring us back into his loving arms. Amen.

The prayer of consecration to Jesus through Mary

Holy Virgin Mary, today before You and in Your hands I renew and confirm the vows of Holy Baptism. I renounce satan forever, his works; and I consecrate myself  to the Sacred Heart of Jesus Christ. I want to carry my cross after Him all the days of my life according to the will of the Heavenly Father. O Mary, in the presence of all the heavenly court and the whole Church I consecrate myself to Your Immaculate Heart. Be my Mother and Queen. In complete submission and love I give You and consecrate to You my body and soul, my goods, both interior and exterior, the value of all my good actions, past, present and future leaving to thee the entire and full right of disposing of me, and all that belongs to me according to thy good pleasure, for the greater gloryof God in time and in eternity. Amen.
