30th day – 4th December

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy spirit. Amen.

Come, Holy Spirit, come by means of the powerful intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Your Beloved Spouse! (3x)

Mt 7, 21. 24-27

Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my heavenly Father.

“Everyone who hears these words of mine and acts in accordance with them will be like a wise man who constructed his house on a rock foundation. The rain came down, the flood waters rose, and fierce winds battered that house. However, it did not collapse, because it had its foundations on rock. “In contrast, everyone who hears these words of mine and does not act in accordance with them will be like a fool who constructed his house on a foundation of sand. The rain came down, the flood waters rose, and the winds blew and buffeted that house. And it collapsed with a great crash.”

To PUT GOD’S WORD AT THE CENTER

What am I asking for?

For an authentic and profound opening to God’s will in his word.

• Jesus invites me to pray the words he spoke on the Mount. I will try to push through the crowd and approach Jesus. I will stand as close to him as possible. I will contemplate his love and the passion with which he speaks to me.

• Jesus gives me a program for Advent – and for my whole life: To put the Father’s will at the center of my daily life (v. 21). I notice the decisive tone in which he speaks to me. What feelings do his words evoke in me? Do I truly seek God’s will in my life? Do I discern it?

• Jesus warns me against a life built on opinions. The true search for God’s will is expressed in concrete life declarations (v. 21), not in solemn declarations such as sacramental vows or oaths.

• I will stop at my life’s vocation. I will contemplate Jesus’ gaze. I will ask him to help me see my life so far through his eyes. What connection do I see between my words, decisions, choices, and daily life?

• Jesus shows me the path that will lead me to a stable and true life. It is his word. It can become my support in every difficult situation (vv. 24–25). If I choose to live according to it, my life will begin to change. Without his word, I am building my life on sand (vv. 26–27).

• What can I say about my relationship with God’s word? Do I really believe that I can change my life? I will recall the situation of life’s storms, in which I experienced the strength of Slovakia.

• What Word is the greatest support for me to this day? I will find it in the Bible. I will return to it most often in prayer. I will try to turn it into a gun prayer. I can write it down and repeat it during a normal day.

In the school of Our Lady:

Mary teaches us to build a house on the rock in our families by reading the Holy Scriptures.

August 25, 1996

Dear children! Listen, because I wish to speak to you and to invite you to have more faith and trust in God, who loves you immeasurably. Little children, you do not know how to live in the grace of God, that is why I call you all anew, to carry the word of God in your heart and in thoughts. Little children, place the Sacred Scripture in a visible place in your family, and read and live it. Teach your children, because if you are not an example to them, children depart into godlessness. Reflect and pray and then God will be born in your heart and your heart will be joyous. Thank you for having for responded to my call.

Mary, you have built your life on the rock of God’s word. Help me to build each day on a solid foundation: on listening to and living the word of Jesus, on trust,

on faithfulness to small duties. When the rain falls on me and the waters of fear flood me, hold me tightly to you, help me to remember the word that will never pass away.

Amen.
