5th day – 9th November

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Come, Holy Spirit, come by means of the powerful intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Your Beloved Spouse! (3x)

Jn 2, 13-22

The Passover of the Jews was near, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem. In the temple He found people selling cattle, sheep, anddoves, and the money changers seated at their tables. Making a whip of cords, He drove all of them out of the temple, both thesheep and the cattle. He also poured out the coins of the money changers and overturned their tables. He told those who wereselling the doves, “Take these things out of here! Stop making my Father’s house a marketplace!” His disciples remembered thatit was written, “Zeal for your house will consume me.” The Jews then said to Him, “What sign can you show us for doing this?”Jesus answered them, “Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.” The Jews then said, “This temple has been underconstruction for forty-six years, and will you raise it up in three days?” But He was speaking of the temple of His body. After Hewas raised from the dead, His disciples remembered that He had said this; and they believed the scripture and the word that Jesus had spoken.

To dwell with the Father in the temple of my heart

Let us pray for a profound realization that I am the beloved temple of the Father

● I will accompany Jesus on His journey to Jerusalem for the Passover (13)

● He enters the temple which for Him is the most precious place on earth – it is the house of His Father. In an insightfulconversation I ask Him about His love for the Father which He experienced shortly before His Passion.

● I remember about my temple or chapel where I spend most of my time. Is it the house of the Father for me? Am I happythere? Do I seek strength from the Father when the suffering comes? What do my encounters with God the Father looklike?

● I listen to the merchants’ noise (14). I notice how Jesus’ wrath is growing. He drives the merchants out with a whip ofcords and overturns the tables

of the money changers (15). He wants to awaken the hearts of those present in the temple. The temple belongs exclusively to the Father and to His works! (16)

● I will talk to Jesus about this event. I will ask Him to give me a sensitive and tender heart toward all that is holy so that Imay be always devoted to the works of faith and never take advantage of God for the sake of my own interests (17).

● The “brick” temples remind me of the temple of my inner “self” (19-22). Every time I enter a holy place God reminds methat He Himself desires to dwell within me. I become aware that Jesus comes to me every day and asks me about thetemple of my spirit.

● What image comes to my mind when I imagine Him looking at my inner “self” right now? What can I say about myspiritual condition? What prevails in me: the atmosphere of peace and prayer or that of noise and “marketplace”?

● Jesus has the power to raise up the temple of my heart even if it has been destroyed by sin. He can revive even a dead andcompletely insensitive part of my inner self. I will invite Jesus into my heart. I will ask Him to make me a beloved templeof the Father.

In the school of Our Lady

Mary’s heart is also consumed with zeal for the Father’s house, for the church where he dwells, for my heart. She educates us as a mother, how we should behave in it, but above all, to take care of the temple of our heart. Just as Jesus wishes.

25th April, 1988 the message from our Lady from Medjugorje

Dear children! God wants to make you holy. Therefore, through me He is inviting you to complete surrender. Let holy mass be your life. Understand that the church is God’s palace, the place in which I gather you and want to show you the way to God. Come and pray. Neither look at others nor slander them, but rather, let your life be a testimony on the way of holiness. Churches deserve respect and are set apart as holy because God, who became man, dwells in them day and night. Therefore, little children, believe and pray that the Father increase your faith, and then ask for whatever you need. I am with you and I am rejoicing because of your conversion and I am protecting you with my motherly mantle. Thank you for having responded to my call.

On December 2, 2007, Our Lady appeared very sad. She had tears in her eyes the whole time and said: Dear children, Today, while I am looking at your hearts, my heart is filled with pain and shudder. My children, stop for a moment and look in to your hearts. Is my Son – your God truly in the first place? Are His commandments truly the measure of your life? I am warning you again. Without faith there is no God’s nearness. God’s word which is the light of salvation and the light of common sense.

Visionary Mirjana added: “With pain I asked Our Lady not to leave us, not to give up on us. At my request, she smiled with pain and left. This time she did not say: ‘Thank you!’ ”

Mary, we also ask you today not to leave us. Help us to cleanse the temple of our heart, to overturn the tables, to remove what does not belong there, what takes Jesus’ first place. Please help us to see this, so that our hearts become a place of peace and a beloved temple where Jesus loves to come.
