At the beginning of the apparitions, the visionaries asked Our Lady why she appeared in this very parish, to which the Virgin Mary replied: “Dear my angels, there are many believers here. Here I found a living faith.“

Why she chose this parish tells us in the message of 21. March 1985: “Dear children! I wish to keep giving messages and therefore today I call you to live and accept my messages. Dear children, I love you and in special way I have chosen this parish, one more dear to me than the others, in which I have gladly remained when the Almighty sent me. Therefore, I call on you – accept me, dear children, that it might go well for you. Listen to my messages! Thank you for having responded to my call.” When asked by the visionaries why she chose them because they did not consider themselves better, Our Lady replied: “God does not always choose the best!”They had to become adults overnight.

Mirjana:

“For Our Lady as the Mother, there are no privileged children. I am like everyone else to her, she uses me to pass on messages through, and now she uses you to carry them forward, to be her Apostles. We are all equally important. I’m not more important because I saw her, nor did she choose me because I would be better, simply, at that moment she needed me as I am. Therefore, I never asked anything personal, because I know the answer: “pray, fast, may the will of God be done. Put your life in God’s hands and don’t be afraid.“

Vicka:

“It is a great honor for me that God and the Our Lady have chosen me. She had her reasons and she didn’t have to explain them to us. Perhaps one day everything will become clearer to us when things from the future begin to take place.“

Ivan:

“Not a day will pass if I don’t ask why Our Lady chose me. 41 years ago, Our Lady pointed her finger at me and chose me. Once Our Lady reminded me of the first days of the apparitions and said to me: ‘Ivan, Do you remember the first day of the apparitions when you wanted to run away from me and hide? You couldn’t escape. God had a special plan for you and your life.‘“

Ivanka:

“I still don’t know why Our Lady chose me. All I know is that God has given me much and demands much of me, because at the last daily apparition Our Lady said to me: ‘no one on this earth had the grace that you and your brothers and sisters had.‘“

Marija:

“Many times I have asked why the Virgin Mary chose me:’ Why me? Why not someone else? Maybe she could have chosen someone who is much better?’Cause I know that I’m not perfect, that I’m not without flaws. God chose us six, but why, I don’t know. All I know is that the most important thing for God is that we have responded to his invitation.“

Jakov:

“I don’t know how I found myself that day with Marija, who is a distant relative of mine, because logically they didn’t make friends with me, they didn’t like the little children around them. I will never be able to thank God enough for the Virgin Mary’s choice of me. I even once begged her to show herself to everyone so that everyone could see how beautiful she was. When I came home on the first day of the apparitions, I hid myself under a quilt and said to myself in amazement: ‘I have indeed seen Our Lady.‘“
