Our Lady of Medjugorje’s March 25, 2026 Monthly Message:
“Dear children, the poison of selfishness and hatred rules human hearts and that is why you do not have peace. I am calling you, little children: be love and My extended hands to all those whom you meet. In humility, pray for peace and work on reconciliation among people, so that it may be good for every person on earth. Thank you for having responded to My call” (With ecclesiastical approval).
In Her message for February Our Lady called us to offer our lives to God and warned us against being lulled to sleep. Her motherly presence and message are a call to awaken from spiritual death and open our hearts to God Who is a source of peace and life. In this message the Heavenly Mother says that selfishness and hatred rule human hearts. If we are not connected to the source of life then we remain without the living water given to us by Jesus.
Our Lady often speaks of the heart in Her messages. The heart is the place where good or evil, peace or war, love or hatred are born. Jesus warns us about this when He says: “But the things that come out of a person’s mouth come from the heart, and these defile them. For out of the heart come evil thoughts—murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, slander” (Matt. 15:18-19).
Our language and our words don’t lie. They reveal what the heart hides. Language is a reflection of our inner world and our heart. We are recognised by the way we speak. We express what we carry within our heart. Through our words we give others what we hold inside. If our hearts are filled with goodness we can enrich others through our words; conversely, if there is evil within us we can impoverish others. With words we can build or destroy, encourage or frighten, revive or kill. We always convey something to others through our words. Language reveals what is in the human heart. It shows what we are like and who we truly are.
Jesus said about language: “For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned” (Matt. 12:37). Our language does not determine our life but reveals the state of our heart. The heart is our center where we make decisions between good and evil, justice and destruction.
It is in vain to try to correct language alone. The heart is what truly matters. First of all we should purify our hearts and then everything will become clear. Our heart is our core. Everything happens in it, all events and experiences flow into it. If the heart is righteous you will not be ashamed of anyone. However, if it is impure and harbors evil intentions toward others then we must strain ourselves to prevent the heart from betraying us through our words. We will become tense and waste emotional energy suppressing evil thoughts, resentments , intentions and feelings. In this way we will live in constant fear and avoid people. We will distance ourselves from God and get ill quickly because our emotional strength is spent on evil instead of good. We will become increasingly poor, lonely and lost. We will seek doctors and remedies for healing and strengthening and consult a psychiatrist and be surprised by our own decline. But in reality all we needed to do was cast out evil and dark thoughts from our hearts.
All that remains for us is sincere repentance, along with the cry and prayer of King David:
“Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me” (Ps. 51:12)
Prayer
Virgin Mary,You are full of grace, preserved from the stain of sin by God’s mercy, intercede for us before Your Son. Through Your Motherly and Immaculate Heart obtain for us the grace to strive for growth in holiness and purity of heart. We beseech You, Mother, teach us to pray with Your Heart which surrendered completely to God through the words: “Behold I am Lord’s servant, let it be to Me according to Your word”. You contained Your whole life within these words. We desire, oh Mother, to give You our hands so that You may lead us. We desire to give You our hearts for them to be transformed by Your Motherly intercession. May our hearts day by day become similar to Your Heart that eventually will triumph over all evil. Amen.
