Be a prayer and a blessing (Tereza Gazhiiova)

Be a prayer and a blessing (Tereza Gazhiiova)
Our Lady is prayer and blessing. The places where She appears are places of prayer and blessing. People who open
themselves to prayer with Mary and follow Her example themselves become prayer and blessing. However, this does not
happen automatically. We are called to grow: first to pray for the gift of God’s love for ourselves, so that later, with
hearts full of love we may pray for others and be blessing to them.
Mary said to us: “As I call you to prayer for those who have not come to know the love of God, if you were to look into
your hearts you would comprehend that I am speaking about many of you” (02.06.2011)
Prayer for nonbelievers is an intention that Mary entrusted to Myriana. During her testimonies the visionary never
forgets to remind us about that if we were to see the tears in the Virgin Mary’s eyes when She speaks about Her children
– the non-believers – we would pray fervently for this intention. When we pray for non-believers we are in fact praying
for ourselves and for a better future because all evil things come from non-believers.
Mary arouses within us both sympathy and responsibility for our neighbors. She said: “Dear children, I desire you to
grasp the seriousness of the situation and that much of what will happen depends on your prayers” (25.07.1991)
Prayer for non-believers is a call to pray for “modern Cain”. One philosopher says that a person’s moral consciousness
begins with God’s question: “Cain, where is your brother Abel?” – and culminates in an even far more challenging
question: “Abel, where is your brother Cain?” With this thought he expresses that Christian love can not stop at the point
of condemnation of evil, but it is called to be responsible for the one who has gone astray. Jesus calls us to precisely this
kind of love when He says: “Love one another, just as I have loved you”. Jesus loved everyone – sinners, thieves,
enemies and even those who crucified Him. Our lady guides us to this kind of prayer when She calls to pray for those
who have not come to know God’s love.
Mary is the Mother of all people. She loves us with the same love with which Jesus loves us. She teaches us this kind of
love. Today She calls us: “Little children, be different from others and be positive people of prayer and love towards
God, that with your lives, you may be a sign of God’s love to others”.
This is not a call to be among the elite but to live Gospel. To be different from others in the way one loves means to love
even when it hurts. To be creators of peace in the midst of chaos. To forgive seventy times seven. To be truthful when it
is easy to remain silent and to say a lie. To be faithful to Jesus even when we know that we will be rejected.
Prayer
Mary, the humble and obedient handmaid of the Lord, teach us to pray silently with our presence right where we are.
Help us to keep in our hearts Jesus’s teaching, His Word. Jesus, meek and humble of Heart, make our hearts similar to
Yours. Make our lives silent places from which You wish to touch the hearts of those who have not yet come to know
Your love. We want to be a sign of Your love. Amen
