”Peace! Peace! Peace! May peace reign between God and people! This profound message sets two clear starting points for peace: God and man, God and human being. Harmony between God and a human being is an important act for world peace,” said the Apostolic Visitor with a special role for the parish of Medjugorje, Archbishop Aldo Cavalli, on the first day of this year, celebrating the Holy Mass in Medjugorje, which was preceded by a prayer vigil and the staging of a live nativity scene, which was attended by thousands of pilgrims who came to Medjugorje and entered in this year 2024, which will soon come to its the last days. Archbishop Cavalli then emphasized that “we are starting this new year blessed by God”.
Many pilgrims will be blessed by God also this year in Medjugorje who, instead of the noise and fireworks of the world, have already decided for the peace and quietness of Medjugorje with “fireworks in the heart”, marking the World Day of Peace. Peace is precisely what marks Medjugorje and what marks every Medjugorje pilgrim, and it will be the same at the end of December this year and at the beginning of January next year.
